Our Purpose
The FAA publishes temporary flight restrictions live at tfr.faa.gov and through the NOTAM system, then removes them when they expire. Nobody keeps them. Every existing flight planning app, drone app, and aviation weather site shows only what is active right now.
This site captures every restriction as it appears, keeps every version and amendment of it, and builds the only permanent, browsable, citable archive of US temporary flight restrictions. The dataset is the product.
Our Commitments
- Permanence: Every restriction receives a stable URL that survives FAA expiration, cancellation, and deletion.
- Versioning: Every amendment, radius extension, altitude adjustment, or cancellation is preserved with full diffs.
- Open Access: Datasets are exported daily in JSON and CSV formats under public domain principles.
- Factual Integrity: Strict non-partisan reporting of airspace metrics and verified regulatory citations.
